How are OOO hours considered for a Worker?
For any day where OOO activity is detected for a given worker:
•Sapience captures actual work time that took place. The My Activity pages in Sapience Vue display the raw total hours that are collected for each category (Work, Private, Unaccounted, OOO).
•For a worker, Cap hours are the maximum number of OOO hours displayed for a day. Sapience calculate the caps hours for OOO based on the worker's associated Work Schedule.
For example, if a worker is associated to a Work Schedule that has 5 working days and expected work hours per week is 40, then:
Cap for the worker = (Weekly Work Goal) / (Work days in a week) = 40 / 5 = 8 hours per day
OOO Scenarios |
Sapience Behavior |
More than Cap hours |
•Sapience caps the maximum value calculated for the worker. • In most cases, workers will be trained to enter OOO for a scheduled work day. Vue recognizes this as OOO hours. •Partial day OOO will record scheduled OOO on the calendar along with the normal time categories (Work, Private, Unaccounted). |
Cap hours or Less |
•This entry will be recognized as Partial day OOO and will record scheduled OOO on the calendar along with the normal time categories (Work, Private, Unaccounted). Note: There will be cases where totals for each time category exceed a 24 hour day. |
